#SundaySoundtrack: The Nutcracker

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1892 score to The Nutcracker is jam packed with some of the most famous melodies ever written. They've been used many times on the big and small screen and are familiar to people the world over. Tchaikovsky extracted his own suite from The Nutcracker, including the witty little overture and the dances from Act II. However, we felt there were some fantastic moments from the rest of the ballet that he didn't include such as the two wonderful pas de deux. Therefore, we hope you enjoy this slightly extended selection of excerpts from the ballet and are whistling the tunes for the rest of the day!
