Edivaldo Souza da Silva was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and trained locally before joining the Royal Ballet School. As a student he danced with The Royal Ballet (The Rite of Spring) and Birmingham Royal Ballet (Aladdin). He joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2014.
