Favourite one-act ballet: I love William Forsythe’s Blake Works I. Forsythe is known for giving the classical aesthetic a new dimension, and I think Blake Works I displays this in a very fresh and compelling way.

Dream role: I would love to dance the role of Lensky in John Cranko’s Onegin. It was the first ballet I saw, and as a character, I find the development of his emotional landscape very interesting.

Proudest on-stage moment: Performing Didy Veldman’s Is To Be at the 2020 Youth Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Lausanne. The experience of working on a performance of that scale was very exciting.

Favourite ballet score: I love Joby Talbot’s score for Christopher Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale and Richard Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder used in Rudi van Dantzig’s ballet of the same title. Both are beautiful compositions.

Favourite composer: I am a great fan of Sergei Rachmaninoff. I admire both the grandiosity and the effusive expression of his works. I find his compositions are timeless and can easily correlate with contemporary emotions.
