Most challenging role: Bottom in Ashton’s The Dream. You have to dance on pointe, on a floor cloth, and wear a huge donkey head with zero visibility. I will never forget making my debut, with Natasha Oughtred as my Titania, willing me on.

Off-stage: I graduated from the Open University in 2015 with a first class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. It was a massive challenge to study whilst rehearsing, touring and performing, but I made it with a little perseverance and a lot of support from my long-suffering wife Samara Downs. I’m very proud to be an alumnus of such an amazing institution.
