Born in Malaysia, Jeanette Wong, Company Pianist, studied at Birmingham Conservatoire under Professor Malcolm Wilson and was awarded the Birmingham Conservatoire Postgraduate Prize for overall excellence. She studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, under András Kemenes, as a result of winning the Joseph Weingarten Scholarship. During her study at the Conservatoire, she won the Beryl Chempin Beethoven Prize and Denis Matthews Memorial Trust Award in 2000 and, as an accompanist, the Reginald Vincent Lieder Prize 2001. In 1998, Jeanette formed a piano duo, JMDuo, and was nominated for the prestigious ‘Young and Promising Artists 2001’ award by the Swedish Chamber Music Association. In 2009 she was awarded Honorary Membership of Birmingham Conservatoire. She has performed around the world as a chamber musician, soloist and accompanist. In 2014, she was the dance pianist for the revival of Graham Vick’s production of Eugene Onegin at Glyndebourne Festival Opera. She is a freelancer for the Royal Academy of Dance and Royal Ballet School.
