Born in Malaysia, Jeanette Wong obtained her First-Class Honours and Master’s Degree with Distinction under Malcolm Wilson at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she was awarded the Honorary Membership in 2009 and is the Recruitment Officer for Malaysia and Singapore. She then studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, under András Kemenes, after winning the Joseph Weingarten Scholarship. She was a full-time pianist at the Elmhurst Ballet School for six years before joining Birmingham Royal Ballet. In 2014, she was the dance pianist for Eugene Onegin at Glyndebourne Festival Opera. She also sings with the award winning CBSO Chorus where performances were featured on BBC Radio 3 and performed at the Proms in Royal Albert Hall. In 2017, Jeanette set up a Benevolent Fund for Malaysian students studying at RBC and founded the RBC Alumni Festival in Kuala Lumpur as an annual fund raising event.
