Born in Glasgow, Kristen McGarrity trained at the Royal Ballet School. She was awarded a bronze medal at the 2004 Adeline Genée Awards. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2005 and her repertory includes Swan Lake (pas de quatre), Agon(first pas de trois), The Shakespeare Suite (Kate), Pulcinella (Rosetta), Brouillards ('Les Feuilles mortes'), Take Five ('Take Five'), The Sleeping Beauty (Fairy of Modesty, pas de quatre) and Cinderella ('Autumn'). She created a role in Kit Holder's Printer Jam.
