Born in Leicester, Lewis Turner trained at Elmhurst School for Dance. He was awarded a Prix de Lausanne scholarship in January 2010 and completed his year-long apprenticeship prize with Birmingham Royal Ballet before joining the Company in 2011. He also won the Contemporary Dance prize. As a student he danced with the Company in Cyrano, Swan Lake, Slaughter on Tenth Avenue and Theme and Variations. He was promoted to First Artist in 2015
