Born in Cumbria, Rosanna Ely trained at Elmhurst School for Dance. As a student she danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Prince of the Pagodas, Elite Syncopations, Les Rendezvous and Beauty and the Beast. She was a scholarship winner at the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Awards, and was named Most Promising Dancer at the Barbara Geoghegan Awards. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2014 and has danced in Serenade, Coppélia and The Nutcracker.
