Steve Scott was born in London and is currently based in Copenhagen. He has designed for Deutsche Oper, Berlin, Stuttgart Ballet, Lyon Opera Ballet, Gulbenkian Ballet, Lisbon, the Stattstheater, Bern, La Scala, Milan, the Royal Danish Ballet, Michael Clark Company, Goteborg Ballet, Nederland Opera, Amsterdam, The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet. He has created around 20 designs for Peter Schaufuss, and collaborated with Michael Clark and David Bintley. He designed Peter Greenaway's production of the opera Rosa, A Horse Drama in Amsterdam, and was awarded Denmark's Reumert Prize in 2002 for She Loves You. He is also a visual artist, working with light; he has created permanent installations for the Davids Samling at the Rigshospital, Copenhagen, the collection of FIH Bank, Copenhagen, and the Vaerket Art Centre, Randers. His current projects include an installation for the H.C. Andersen 2005 Foundation and the Kunstforeningen, Copenhagen, a landscape light sculpture for the 200th anniversary of Aalborg's Technical School, a light sculpture for Deloitte's new Copenhagen Headquarters and theatre designs for Het National Ballet, Amsterdam, Latvian National Ballet, Riga, and Royal Danish Ballet.
