Subin Kim
Subin Kim was Assistant Conductor with the National Orchestra of Île-de-France for the 24/25 season. She has held assistant conductor positions with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in Denmark and Staatsoper Hannover. She joined The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet as a Constant Lambert Fellow for the 2025/26 season. A Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship mentee and former fellow of Germany music council ‘Dirigentenforum’, she has collaborated with ensembles including Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Hamburg Symphoniker, MDR Leipzig, and the Korea National Symphony Orchestra. She studied at the Hamburg University of Music, the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music, Berlin, and at Korea National University of Arts. She was a semi-finalist in the Bucharest and Korea National Symphony Orchestra international conducting competitions and received the Audience Prize from Leipziger Volkszeitung in 2024.
