Thomas Mika (designer, A Brief Nostalgia) is a set and costume design for ballet productions worldwide. He studied opera direction at the University of Music and Theatre, Hamburg. Thomas has worked with modern choreographers Alejandro Cerrudo, Edward Clug, Marco Goecke, Leo Mujic, Riccardo De Nigris, Kevin O’Day, Tim Plegge, Sergej Vanaev and Jeroen Verbruggen and his classical repertoire includes Onegin and Romeo and Juliet by John Cranko, Lady of the Camellias by Derek Deane, Don Quixote by Alexey Fadeechev and a version by Nina Ananishvili, Romeo and Juliet by Ben van Cauwenbergh, Swan Lake by Thomas Edur and a version by Eno Peci & Sabrina Sadowska. He has collaborated with companies including Stuttgart Ballet, Berlin State Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, National Ballet of China, Hong Kong Ballet, Universal Ballet Seoul, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet X Philadelphia, Hungarian National Ballet, Polish National Ballet, Estonian National Ballet, Novosibirsk State Ballet, Slovenian National Ballet, Croatian National Ballet, Ballet Mannheim, Aalto Ballet Theater and the Royal Ballet of Flanders.
