News Story

This year, Dance Track introduced a new uniform, providing an opportunity to donate a selection of our previous uniforms to LEAP of Dance Academy in Nigeria.

LEAP of Dance Academy has gained international recognition for its work in creating opportunities for young dancers in Nigeria, most notably through Anthony Madu, whose video of him dancing barefoot in the rain went viral around five years ago. That moment led to Anthony being scouted by Elmhurst Ballet School, where he went on to train vocationally in the UK. His journey was later documented in the film MADU, which powerfully highlights the transformative impact of access to dance education, opportunity and belief.

We're delighted to be able to honour our commitment to access, sustainability and global connection within dance education through this donation.

By donating Dance Track uniform, we are supporting LEAP of Dance Academy in a practical and meaningful way. Uniform plays an important role in creating a sense of belonging, identity and professionalism for young dancers, particularly in contexts where resources are limited. This donation enables us to extend the life of our uniform in a sustainable way, while directly supporting an organisation that shares our values of inclusion, talent development and social impact through dance.

The donation also strengthens our connection to a global dance education community and acknowledges that talent exists everywhere, regardless of geography or circumstance. As a programme rooted in widening access and nurturing potential, Dance Track is proud to support an organisation whose work exemplifies the power of dance to change lives.
