We are delighted to introduce our new Development Officer, Annabel Miller Green, who joined BRB's Development team in August.
Hello, I'm Annabel!
I'm delighted to have joined Birmingham Royal Ballet as Development Officer. This role is especially meaningful to me because I grew up attending BRB workshops when the Company toured to Manchester, learning excerpts from ballets such as Cinderella and Swan Lake before watching them come to life on stage. I also had the opportunity to perform on BRB's home stage, Birmingham Hippodrome, with The Pointe Youth Dance Company through One Dance UK's U.Dance programme. Having experienced firsthand the impact BRB's outreach can have on a young dancer, I'm excited to support the Company's mission and help others discover and develop a love of ballet, just as I did.
I hold an MA in Performing Arts Administration from New York University, where I served as President of the Graduate Student Government, and a BA in Business (Human Resource Management). Most recently, I completed internships in Development at New York City Ballet and in Group Sales at Broadway Direct, part of The Nederlander Organization. I have also been a longstanding volunteer with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS through its Dancers Responding to AIDS programme. After several years in New York, I'm thrilled to be back in the UK and joining BRB as it continues to champion artistic excellence while making ballet accessible to ever wider audiences. I look forward to contributing to the Company's future and meeting members of the BRB community.
