Introducing Viscountess Eliza Newport – Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Philanthropy Ambassador

We are delighted to announce that Birmingham Royal Ballet has created the role of Founding Philanthropy Ambassador for Viscountess Eliza Newport of Bradford Estates.

As Philanthropy Ambassador, she will serve as a visible champion for BRB, supporting our fundraising ambitions, representing the Company in cultural and philanthropic settings, introducing new networks (particularly engaging the next generation of supporters), and hosting or supporting significant fundraising initiatives each year.

Her first, and very special, event for the Company was a private dinner at Weston Park on Friday 27 February, featuring a ballet performance by BRB dancers. The evening strengthened our artistic mission, philanthropic impact, public presence and long-term sustainability, raising more than £40,000 in support of Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Our Director, Carlos Acosta, said: 'We are proud and delighted to recognise Eliza Newport’s extraordinary commitment through this appointment, and we look forward to nurturing this special relationship'.
