On 30 September we launched our Giving Circle for The Maiden of Venice, our new ballet which will premiere in the 2026-27 season. The launch was held at Birmingham's San Carlo restaurant and we were delighted to welcome many generous individuals committed to supporting the making of this exciting new production.

Authentic Italian drinks and nibbles welcomed the guests before our director, Carlos Acosta, and designer, Anna Fleischle, spoke about their plans for the show and their progress so far. Carlos and Anna shared exclusive insights into the ballet's creation, including choreography and costume ideas, the mood board for the ballet, and Anna's white card model representing her early set designs. The pair also highlighted the significance of this new ballet in the legacy and future of our art form, with The Maiden of Venice being a powerful reimagination of the 19th-century classic La Bayadère.
This was just the first of many events that supporters of the Maiden of Venice Giving Circle will enjoy.
