Brandon Lawrence was born in Bradford. He trained with Penny Murray, Andie Nydza and at The Royal Ballet School. 

 

From 2011 to 2023 he danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet (Principal dancer from 2019). Important roles have included Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker (Prince), Coppélia (Franz), The Sleeping Beauty (Prince Florimund), Swan Lake (Prince Siegfried). Sir Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet (Romeo) Sir Frederick Ashton's La Fille mal gardée (Colas), Sir David Bintley’s Cinderella (Prince), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Giselle (Albrecht). 

 

He has also performed in works by Carlos Acosta, Edward Clug, Jiří Kylián, Juliano Nunes, Twyla Tharp, and Uwe Scholz.

 

Since the 2023/24 season, Brandon has been a Principal dancer with Ballett Zürich and has danced in choreographies by Cathy Marston (Robbie in Atonement; Robert in Clara; The Cellist), Patrice Bart (Albrecht in Giselle) Marco Goecke, Wayne McGregor, Bronislava Nijinska, Mthuthuzeli November, Jerome Robbins, Christian Spuck, William Forsythe, Brian Arias, Kim Brandstrup and Crystal Pite.
