Congratulations to former Birmingham Royal Ballet dancer Regan Hutsell, who has been crowned Miss America 2027!

Regan joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2021, following her time as a Radio City Rockette, and performed with the Company across a wide range of productions. She was also part of the inaugural year of BRB2, performing in Carlos Acosta’s Classical Selection in 2023, where she danced Carlos Acosta’s Dying Swans alongside Jack Easton. The piece later took Regan back to her home country, where she and Jack performed it at a reception hosted by the British Consulate General in New York to celebrate the tenth anniversary of New York City Pride.

She left the Company in 2025 to pursue other opportunities, and has now taken the Miss America crown following her journey through the competition as Miss Texas. The title has earned her nearly $90,000 in scholarships, which she will use to pursue her dream of becoming a physical therapist.

Regan said, 'The scholarship money I have earned through competing in the Miss America Opportunity has transformed my life by empowering me to pursue my dream of becoming a physical therapist debt-free. These funds will help support my education and bring me one step closer to my goal of helping others through movement, recovery, and rehabilitation.' *

What an incredible journey, Regan! We wish you every success in this exciting new chapter.
