Meet the SinfoniaOur recordings
Royal Ballet Sinfonia frequently performs for recording sessions in London working in prestigious venues such as Abbey Road Studios, Angel Studios, Cadogan Hall and Henry Wood Hall.
Most recently, the orchestra have recorded a new album with multi award-winning composer Adam Saunders, the musical Mimma at Abbey Road Studios and an album of string orchestra works by the celebrated composer Peter Warlock.

The orchestra has an extensive library of recordings, including the Grammy Award-winning album The LadyKillers, Regards from Rochester with the BBC Singers, composed by Thomas Hewitt-Jones, alongside numerous British Light Music albums and well-loved ballet classics.
Royal Ballet Sinfonia has worked with numerous conductors in the recording studio, including Barry Wordsworth, Gavin Sutherland, Richard Balcombe, John Andrews, Pete Harrison and, of course, our own Music Director at BRB, Paul Murphy.
The Sinfonia is a contracted 46-piece orchestra that expands or reduces to the needs of the repertoire. Previous recordings range from small ensembles of five to ten, right up to a large orchestra of 80+ musicians. The orchestra are flexible ensemble of fantastic musicians who have years of experience in the recording studio.
