Meet our new BRB2 dancers ahead of their upcoming UK tour of Carlos Acosta’s Ballet Celebration: Diaghilev and the Birth of Modern Ballet.

BRB2 brings together some of the world’s most outstanding young dancers – the international stars of the future – to showcase their exceptional talent. A dedicated strand of the main Company, BRB2 is made up of recently graduated professional dancers. The group performs both with the wider Company throughout the season and independently on its own late spring tour. This structure provides invaluable experience, allowing the dancers to develop their artistry across a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary works, including solos and pas de deux.

This season, we welcome Yasemin Kayabay (from The Royal Ballet School), John Fontanini (from The Princess Grace Academy), and Yoli Meurisse (from English National Ballet School). They join Charlotte Cohen, Noah Cosgriff, Ellyne Knol, Ixan Llorca Ferrer, Andrea Riolo, and Sophie Walters, who are now in their second and final season with BRB2. Marlo Kempsey-Fagg also joins the group as a member of BRB2 after a season as Apprentice (2024-25 season), while Alfie-Lee Hall joins as Apprentice for the 2025-26 season.

BRB2 is generously supported by multi-year gifts from the Oak Foundation, Charles Holloway OBE, Jerwood Foundation, Linbury Trust, Mary Laing and the late David Laing. The company is also made possible through support by The George Cadbury Fund, The Amar-Franses and Foster-Jenkins Trust, The GNC Trust, The Gitta Tangye Trust, The GJW Turner Trust, The Noël Coward Foundation and Monuskin.

Birmingham Royal Ballet's Apprentice role is generously supported by the legacy of Carol Barrie.
