About Sir Peter Wright Centenary
Join us for an evening of sparkling highlights from classical favourites Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia and Giselle to celebrate Birmingham Royal Ballet's Founding Director, Sir Peter Wright, and the many brilliant productions he created for the Company.
Completing the evening is Kurt Jooss's The Green Table, a dramatic work created in 1932, foreshadowing the futility of the peace negotiations of that decade but still powerfully resonant today. Sir Peter danced with Ballett Jooss and The Green Table is one of his favourite works.
The Green Table is supported by donations from Mr Stuart Sweeney and Fern & Clive Potter.
